Lagos Housewife Finally Reveals The Reason Why She Killed Her Husband

A Nigerian woman and and housewife, identified as Mrs. Damilola Ayeni, who reportedly stabbed her husband, named Olumide to death in Lagos has finally revealed the real reason why she stabbed her husband to death during a domestic brawl.

Recall that it was earlier reported few weeks ago that the 23 years old woman used a kitchen knife to stab her husband on the left side of his chest, after which he bled profusely and died at a Lagos Island General Hospital.

According to embattled Damilola, she did not in any way plan to kill her husband who hailed from Ondo State and was a staff of Lagos Island Hospital, but lost total control due to anger that made her kill him at their residence located at Gbamgboye Street, Lagos Island, where she was also arrested and taken to the SCIID Panti, Yaba, Lagos and charged for murder.

Damilola who noted that she had not come to terms with what really happened on the day of the sad incident and wished it never happened, recalled that their two years marriage with two children was characterized with crises on suspicions of infidelity and mistrust that resulted to constant quarreling and fighting that eventually led to her husband’ s death.

It was gathered that Damilola has been charged before an Ebute Metta Magistrates court and arraigned for murder, after the prosecutor, Inspector Mana Dauda, told the court that it was a case of domestic violence that led to the death of the victim. But the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O Ajibade, who did not take her plea and denied her bail directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to DPP for advice.

According to report, Damilola may be tried at the High Court if the DPP finds her culpable and recommends her for murder trial. If found guilty, she may have to spend the rest of her life in jail.

The late Olumide hailed from Ondo State and was a staff of Lagos Island Hospital where he died. He was 36 years while the embattled wife was 23years when the incident happened.
