Tanzanian Singer, Diamond Platnumz Sued By Kenyan Lady For Child Support

Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz has been reportedly dragged to court by a Kenyan lady named Gladys Butoto, who accused him of neglecting their one and half-year-old daughter, named Patience while knowing that he is the biological father of the daughter.

According to Gladys claims, in an interview with Global Publishers, each time she tries to reach out to the singer, it's either he ignores her or gives her empty promises. In her words in the interview, she said;

"I would not wish to this direction, but I have realised Diamond Platnumz is disrespectful yet he knows the truth. If we discussed this and agreed on how we will take care of our child, I would be having any issue with him."

According to report, the case that is already before the children's officers at Oysterbay Police Station in Dar es Salaam will now be heard on Wednesday, 20th of June 2018, at a city juvenile court.

Gladys who further claimed that she is forced to endure cold on the streets whenever she travels to Tanzania because she's not capable of catering for her accommodation reportedly spent her night outside the police station after addressing the media outside the station.

"My daughter is unwell but I have come with her nonetheless so that I can know my fate before a court of law. His mother called me mad, but I cannot frame Diamond on this if he is not the father to my daughter," she added.

This is coming few weeks after Tanzanian model Mobetto engaged the singer in a child support battle but the case was dismissed after the two reportedly came to an understanding an opted for settling the case outside the court after which the singer revealed in an interview with a local radio station after the court session, that Hamisa’s lawyer requested for 10 million Tanzanian shillings for the upkeep of the child every month.
